Why we built ShieldDeposit.

Across Nigeria, about 13.5 million tenancies are sitting on an estimated ₦3.6 trillion in deposits with no protection at all. Tenants hand over a fortune and too often never see it again. Landlords get pulled into arguments with no fair way to settle them. Somehow, everyone just accepts it.

We didn't want to accept it. ShieldDeposit holds deposits in regulated escrow, gives both sides a legal certificate as proof, and brings in a neutral team when there's a disagreement. Your money comes back in full, or it's settled fairly. No drama, no disappearing acts.
